Milk vs Fruits

Why you should not eat fruits with milk? Milk can be mixed with some fruits like Apple, Banana, Ripe Mango, Chickoo, etc. However, milk should not be mixed with sour fruits like Pineapple, Orange, Berries, etc. as these fruits are acidic and adding acidic fruits to Milk would curdle the milk. That can cause indigestion or diarrhea. I believe mango and banana are least acidic and so still ok to mix with milk and consume when fresh. Again avoid drinking mango milk shake after couple of hours as the milk curdling process would have already begun.


 In smoothies, if you are using yogurt instead of milk, then it’s fine to use sour fruits. Hope this was helpful.
